jPoint release for SharePoint 2010?

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering whether you had plans to support SharePoint 2010 (unless it already does in which case apologies for the post).  Just noticed that the last release was in December 2009 and is still in beta stage.  It would be great to see it move a production release.  Excellent work.

We have tested jPoint on SharePoint 2010 and the form and web services largely work the same as in 2007. While our testing was not extensive, we did not find any problems. If you or anybody does, please let the community know.

We are looking for contributors to help with the project. We still continue to handle major support issues, but no new releases are planned in the near future. Although we would love to combine the best of the open source libraries and jPoint and the sp.js goodiness of SharePoint 2010's client object model, the original team of 3 developers are getting sidetracked into a new project dealing with a SharePoint event handler to sync libraries and lists to the Marklogic XML server and doing some interesting things in the SharePoint and XML and maps mashup space. Hopefully, when our clients move to SharePoint 2010 by th end of the year, we will announce plans for a production release.

If anybody is interested in becoming a contributor to the jPoint project, please let us know by responding to this discussion or sending an e-mail to We need help in documenting the API, documenting deployments or how to get started, handling upgrade strategy across Codeplex/sharejPoint/Google Code content delivery network, testing (core functionality, test framework), optimizing the code, and improving the jPart "plugin" infrastructure.
